We’re proud to share that client of ours,  founder of a UK-based tech startup, has successfully secured his Skilled Worker visa through self-sponsorship under the skilled worker route. We helped the founder first obtain a Sponsor Licence for his Tech Company and then guided him through the Skilled Worker visa process with 100% compliance and strategy.   But here’s what you must know before following the same path: From 9 April 2025, the Home Office introduced new requirement under the sponsorship guidance. If you invest in your Sponsor company:
  • The Home Office will subtract your investment from your salary.
  • Average it over the sponsorship period, and
  • If your adjusted salary falls below the required threshold, your visa will be refused.
We’re already seeing businesses unknowingly setting themselves up for refusal. Don’t get caught out. This is a complex area of immigration law where precision matters — and where one misstep can cost you your migration dream. If you're planning to come to the UK as a business owner under the Skilled Worker route, speak to Nara Solicitors first. We've helped many of entrepreneurs make this move — the right way. Your business may be eligible. Your case may be strong. But your application must be compliant.
