We are very pleased to share a successful outcome for one of our clients whose Graduate Route (PSW) application was initially refused by the Home Office. The refusal was based on the ground that the sponsor university had not notified UKVI of the client’s course completion by the date of application, and that the client had not completed his degree within the validity of his student leave. We were instructed to challenge this decision by way of Administrative Review. Although the process took over a year to conclude, the outcome has now been entirely positive. Crucially, throughout the Administrative Review period, our client remained lawfully in the UK with full legal status, including the right to live and work, while the review was pending. We are delighted to confirm that the Home Office has now granted Graduate Route leave for two years, effective from 02 January 2026. In real terms, because the Administrative Review remained pending for an extended period, our client has effectively secured close to three years after completing his studies to live and work in the UK — an outcome that brings immense relief and stability. Our client is a qualified Advocate from India, who completed his LLM in the UK and is now preparing for the SQE with the aim of qualifying as a Solicitor in England and Wales. This decision allows him to move forward with confidence and focus fully on his professional goals. This case is a strong reminder that refusals are not always final, and that well-prepared Administrative Reviews can correct flawed decisions. A very well-deserved outcome, and a huge relief for the client. If you looking for an immigration advice, book a consultation with us.
