Our client, the founder of a footwear startup less than a year old, has secured a Sponsor Licence in only 24 hours. Now he can sponsor himself in his company, opening the door to run and grow his business in the UK. The business specialises in sourcing and restoring second hand branded shoes. These are then sold at affordable prices to support low income customers. The model also supports sustainable fashion by reducing waste and giving quality footwear a longer life. At first the company built its presence through platforms such as Vinted, eBay and Depop. As demand grew, it recently opened a physical store to expand its reach and strengthen trust with customers. The founder approached Nara Solicitors to obtain a Sponsor Licence and sponsor himself. Many new companies worry that limited trading history may block them from obtaining a Sponsor Licence. We guided him through the process, preparing a clear application that highlighted the company’s genuine trading activity, its mission, and its plans for growth. The application was submitted on 11 September 2025 under the priority service. Supporting documents were sent on 16 September. On 17 September the Home Office granted the licence with an A rating, just 24 hours after the documents submission.
