A care provider approached us after their sponsor licence was revoked without any prior suspension, leaving them unable to sponsor migrant workers and placing immediate pressure on their staffing structure.

A revocation without suspension is unusual and can have serious consequences for both the organisation and its workforce.

After reviewing the decision, our team prepared a detailed Pre Action Protocol (PAP) challenge, setting out why the revocation had been made incorrectly and why the decision required urgent reconsideration.

Following our PAP representations, the Home Office withdrew the revocation decision in full.

The care provider’s sponsor licence has now been:

  • Fully reinstated
  • Restored to an A-rating
  • Returned to active status, allowing the business to continue sponsoring migrant workers without disruption

This outcome allowed the organisation to protect its existing workforce and continue delivering essential care services with stability and confidence.

Sponsor licence revocations carry serious consequences for any organisation, especially in the care sector where staffing levels must be maintained. Challenging such decisions requires a clear understanding of Home Office processes, evidence requirements and legal grounds for review. A knowledgeable legal team can identify errors in decision making, prepare structured representations and guide employers through what can otherwise feel like an overwhelming situation.

If your sponsor licence has been suspended, revoked or you believe a decision has been made unfairly, seeking early legal advice can make all the difference.

Our team at NARA Solicitors can review your case, challenge incorrect decisions and guide you on the best next steps.
