Nara Solicitors is seeking an experienced and motivated Immigration & Litigation Solicitor to join our growing legal team.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage a varied caseload of immigration, civil litigation and public law matters.
• Advise on visa applications, asylum, human rights and complex immigration matters.
• Handle immigration appeals and tribunal proceedings.
• Prepare Judicial Review applications, Pre-Action Protocol letters and legal representations.
• Handle money claims and other civil litigation matters, including contractual, commercial and general civil disputes.
• Prepare claims, defences, witness statements, legal submissions and other court documents.
• Conduct litigation from pre-action stage through to hearings and enforcement, where appropriate.
• Advise and represent clients in civil proceedings and court hearings.
• Advise on Sponsor Licence applications, compliance and enforcement.
• Handle Sponsor Licence suspensions, revocations and reinstatement matters.
• Advise on civil penalties, illegal working and right-to-work issues.
• Conduct legal research and keep up to date with immigration law, civil procedure, case law and Home Office guidance.
• Represent clients before the Home Office, Tribunals and Courts, where appropriate.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide clear, timely legal advice.
• Work collaboratively with the wider team and mentor junior staff where required.
• Contribute to business development and the growth of the immigration and litigation department.
• Ensure compliance with SRA requirements, professional standards and firm procedures.
The Ideal Candidate
• Qualified Solicitor with experience in immigration and litigation.
• Strong knowledge of UK immigration law, public law and civil litigation.
• Experience handling appeals, Judicial Reviews, money claims and other litigation matters.
• Experience with Sponsor Licence compliance, suspensions, revocations and civil penalties is highly desirable.
• Excellent drafting, advocacy, legal research and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy caseload and deadlines.
• Commercially aware, proactive and client-focused.
