Skilled Worker Visa Application

We assist employers and individuals with Skilled Worker visa applications. Whether you're sponsoring a new hire or applying for your own visa, our expert solicitors are here to support you at every step.

What is a Skilled Worker Visa?

The Skilled Worker visa permits non-UK nationals to reside and work in the United Kingdom within eligible skilled positions. It replaced the Tier 2 (General) work visa as the primary route for overseas professionals seeking employment in the UK.

This visa grants up to 5 years of residence and can lead to Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) following 5 years of continuous lawful residence.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for a Skilled Worker visa, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Have a confirmed job offer from a licensed UK sponsor
  • The role must be listed among eligible occupations
  • Your salary must meet the minimum threshold (typically £38,700, with exceptions for shortage occupations)
  • You must demonstrate the required English language proficiency
