We are looking for an Immigration and Employment Lawyer to join the NARA Solicitors team. You will work directly with clients and support the Principal Solicitor across both immigration and employment law matters.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is confident advising on both disciplines, works well with clients, and takes pride in delivering clear, practical legal advice.

Key Responsibilities
Immigration:
Handle UK immigration applications across business and personal routes, including Skilled Worker visas, sponsor licence applications, and entry clearance
Advise clients on eligibility, documentation, and application strategy
Support clients through sponsor licence compliance, including right-to-work checks, SMS reporting, and Home Office audit preparation
Draft correspondence to the Home Office and UKVI
Keep up to date with changes to the Immigration Rules and translate these into practical client advice
Employment Law:
Advise employers and employees on a range of employment law matters including disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, and performance management
Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and workforce documentation
Support on discrimination, family leave, flexible working, and whistleblowing matters
Handle ET1 and ET3 claims, including drafting responses, preparing bundles, and managing case progression
Manage Employment Law claims pending in the Employment Tribunal through to resolution
Assist with Employment Tribunal pre-claim matters and ACAS Early Conciliation
Instruct and liaise with external counsel where required
Advise HR teams and managers in a clear, practical, and commercially sensible way
About You
Qualified solicitor (England and Wales) or experienced lawyer with strong expertise in both UK immigration and employment law
Hands-on experience with sponsor licence duties, Skilled Worker route, and right-to-work compliance
Solid employment law knowledge with experience advising on complex, high-risk matters
Clear communicator, written and verbal, with the ability to explain legal matters simply
Highly organised and detail focused, comfortable managing a varied caseload
Client focused, professional, and able to work independently in a small firm environment
Experience in regulated or multi-site sectors such as social care or healthcare is an advantage
