About Us
Nara Solicitors is a forward-thinking legal practice dedicated to modernising how legal services are communicated. We are launching a new video podcast series designed to demystify the law and engage with our community. We believe corporate content doesn’t have to look “corporate,” and we are looking for a visual storyteller to help us elevate our production value to a cinematic standard.
The Role
We are seeking a talented Cinematography Student, or a Recent Graduate to lead the visual production of our internal and external video content. You won’t just be pressing records; you will be responsible for lighting, framing, and capturing high-quality interviews and first-person video shoots that look professional and polished.
This is a unique opportunity to apply narrative lighting and composition techniques in a corporate setting, building a distinct portfolio of high-end interview content.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Filming: Lead the filming of weekly podcast episodes and social media content. Manage 1-camera setup.
Lighting Design: distinct responsibility to set up professional 3-point lighting to create a cinematic look, ensuring subjects look their best.
Audio Monitoring: oversee audio recording during shoots (lavalier and boom mics) to ensure crisp sound quality.
Equipment Management: Maintain and organise camera gear, lights, and audio equipment.
Post-Production (Optional but Preferred): Assist in syncing footage, color grading, and cutting clips for social media (TikTok/Reels/LinkedIn).
Creative Input: Collaborate with the marketing team to storyboard ideas and suggest visual improvements for the set design.Who You Are
Current student or recent graduate in Cinematography, Film Production, or a related field.
Strong understanding of exposure, white balance, frame rates, and composition.
Demonstrable experience with professional lighting (knowledge of key, fill, and rim lighting is essential).
Proficiency with professional cameras (e.g., Sony Alpha series, Canon Cinema line, or Blackmagic).
Basic understanding of audio recording workflows.
Reliable, professional, and comfortable working with senior partners and clients.
